Questions and discussions Individual Center’s Process Map Presentations:
  • Johns Hopkins: Discussion occurred about why Medtronic doesn’t allow the center to do their own training, when other centers are able.
  • Stanford Pediatrics: need to verify if CDCES are consistently documenting pump starts.
  • CHOA: Clarification about their quiz was asked. Capturing date of diagnosis and date of device start was discussed, as they are not using structure data. Casey will f/up after clarifying with Dr. Cossen.
  • Stanford Adults: No reportable way of determining dx and time of start, but they will start capturing that for this project.
  • Washington University: Orders are sent using Parachute or pharmacy; they have the ability to add dates in Smart Forms but they do not utilize.
  • Cincinnati Children’s: Pain points are on a separate process map. All patients go home with CGM. Class occurs two weeks after dx.
  • Mount Sinai Adults: Not currently utilizing Smartsheet. CDE contacts patients two weeks before and Dr. O’Malley thinks that person can also add in and track date of dx.

Discussion:

  • It will be important to have the ability to capture diagnosis and device start dates for this project.
  • We will collaborate on a fishbone activity at the next meeting.
  • Please send us your updated process maps with pain points, if your current map does not have pain points.
  • The AID Adult Monthly Reports template Smartsheet measures were shared.
  • Trevon reminded the group to please submit their SOW’s in the next few days.
