Committees
How our committees work
The QI Collaborative has several committees to support its governance. Committee members actively help to lead the direction of the Collaborative and our success. Each clinic participates with its PI represented on the QI Leadership Committee and a designated staff person on the QI Champions Committee.
All clinics are encouraged to invite patient representatives to participate on the Patient Parent Advisory Committee. You can learn more about each committee using the links below — every group plays a distinct role in advancing care, equity, data quality, and outcomes for people with type 1 diabetes.
Clinical Leadership
Principal investigators from each partner clinic guide the clinical direction and priorities of the Collaborative.
Data Governance
Sets policies and standards that protect data integrity, privacy, and appropriate use across the network.
Data Science
Drives analytical methodology, dashboards, and the research questions powered by the QI registry.
HEAL
Health Equity Advancement and Leadership — embeds equity into every layer of the Collaborative's work.
International Collaborations
Coordinates partnerships with global type 1 diabetes networks to share insights and accelerate progress.
People with Diabetes Advisory
Patient and parent representatives shape priorities, materials, and programs from lived experience.
Publications
Reviews and supports peer-reviewed manuscripts, abstracts, and presentations produced by the Collaborative.
QI Champions
Designated staff at each clinic who lead day-to-day quality improvement efforts on the ground.
