UTSW
- For: Office visits, telemed, and appts (for pre-charting time)
- Defer- shows up on storyboard
- Feature: dismiss on screen=means ignore should pop up again next time chart is opened. Defer button: intention: not right time. Put in storyboard. Get later.
- Purpose of order set: intended to make easier to made device on med list. If there are other ways of identifying use, centers can use their alternative methods
- Almost ready with the build.
- Next step is to take it to Decision Support. Their meeting is on June 9.
- Then education for all.
SUNY
- Overseeing board meeting this month
- Didn’t know that defer would go to storyboard
- Was going to make a timer button
- Working on formal referral for pump orientation for the order set. A positive
Nationwide
- Can modify pop-schedule. Can change and customize the settings.
- Defer is a newer alert functionality in Epic. Still need to educate on. Storyboard is “overwhelming”
- Set up to pop up in pre-charting, when roomed, displays in workflow for provider to display for users.
- Nationwide has an illustration on their page of a torso wearing devices
- Division coming up for review
- Not using the med list. Not as reliable. Would be a change in process.
Grady
- Using new flowsheets for documentation for data needed in the BPA
- Meeting with IT next week. May ask Josephine some questions
- Med list: why or not ordered. Learning curve.
- Timeline: estimating July. (Coordinating Center is recommending that all build gets done in June and finalized and goes live before end of July.
Seattle Children’s
- Working on build. On track for June/early July go live. Still on track.
- Previously, Dr. Gupta mentioned concerns about pharmacy vs DME. Response: In order set, all of this is written out/ Training: this BPA doesn’t initiate ordering for devices.
Hassenfeld Children’s
- NYU received approvals from MCIT and had call with MCIT on 5/14 begin the build
JHU Updates
- Hopkins went live May 5
- Had to write free text comment- didn’t like that process. Nes shared because we want to know the reasons.
- Division updates. Presented slides and tip sheet in May in JHU peds.
- Newly dx Pts come back 10 days later for CGM and then one month later get pump.
- Provider designated decision for not appropriate ambiguous.
- Data shared by Josephine. PHI removed on Slicer Dicer
- None of the above is the largest group. Still making an impact in the other categories
- 294 firings. Actual count of patients is much smaller.
- Nationwide removes ability to add comments in some of the areas for the providers (plus education for them) so that they have the awareness. Recognize for certain instances we want comments. Other areas are not needed.
- Grady: first BPA related to technology
- Three-month mark of going live
