 Update on Medical Director Search 

• David Walton shared that has spoken with potential candidates for the Medical Director role over the last two months 

• Goal of filling role in Q3-Q4 2025 

 

T1DX-QI’s presence at ADA Scientific Sessions 

• Oral presentations and posters.

 T1D Exchange is hosting a breakfast at the ADA Sci Sessions 

• Sunday morning, June 22nd, from 6:30 -8: 00 am (Central Time.)

Save the date for the November Learning Session Nov 11-12, Atlanta, GA 

• T1DX will cover hotel nights for two attendees for two nights. Teams are welcome to bring additional members. 

• Registration for conference will begin after 6/1 

 

Update on Aims, KDDs, and Measures: current measures expire 1/1/26 

• Clinical Leaders will be invited to a meeting, reviewing Aims and Measures in Q3 

•  Adult measures can be accessed here. Pediatrics measures can be access here. 

• Feedback 

• Suggestion that we consider moving aim from 7% to 6.5% for A1c goal, to match current Standard of Care 

 

Sponsored project opportunities:  

• Obesity and T2D with GLP1 prescribing project will be submitted to Eli Lilly in May. T1DX will share a call for interest for this project with the centers in a Qualtrics link within the next month. 

• T1D Exchange has set a goal of mapping 6 centers for T2D data in 2025. 

• There are opportunities for pediatric and adult clinics to map T2D data to be eligible to participate in more funded projects.  

• If you are interested in beginning the data mapping process for T2D, please email QI@t1dexchange.org 

• New Diabetes and Screening project will be submitted for funding in June. T1DX will share a call for interest for this project with the centers in a Qualtrics link within the next month. 

• 4-5 centers will be invited, looking at screening numbers, monitoring, DKA events, and treatment, etc. 

• Overview of current projects 

• BPA-TECH: Best Practice Advisories for Tech Equity 

•  Aim to develop and implement an EHR-based BPA using stakeholder feedback to standardize the approach for prescribing and documenting advanced diabetes technologies among PwT1D. 

• 8 participating centers 

• Diabetes Screening 

• Increase by 15% from baseline 

• 6 participating centers
