• Smart Aim to increase the lipid profile performed from 70% to 90% and a process map, and KDD on how to achieve that result were shared.  

• Utilizing the diabetes summary tool in Epic, a handout, on-sight cholesterol analyzer, and new workflows helped achieve this goal. A control chart displayed their success and sustainability over time.  

• A handout of QI successes, lessons learned, and challenges was also provided.  

Discussion occurred about sufficient MA staffing to manage the workflows, sharing resources, how to advocate for getting these machines, the potential challenges and benefits of building a patient tracker tool. 

Ori Odugbesan reviewed the status of Smartsheet data sharing among the T2D Centers. 

Dr. Liz Mann pushed forward the idea of sharing benchmarking data and proposed looking at GLP-1 and SGLT-2, A1c outcomes, lipid screening and statin use, via analyzing the data from all these centers for an abstract to present at ISPAD.   

Dr. Tamara Hannon requested more Smartsheet collection to observe real world data.  

• ISPAD submission deadline is April 22nd.  

• To meet this deadline for ISPAD, please share data on or before March 28th.   

Nicole Rioles summarized three potential manuscripts at play: 

• Rate of GLP-1 and SGLT-2 Medication Use on HbA1c Outcomes  

• Rate of Lipids Screening and Statin Use  

• The Formation of Pediatrics T2D Registry 

Challenges with data sharing and collaborating were shared.  

Meghan Kelsey will present next on a transition project specifically for Type 2 Diabetes with Pittsburgh reporting on a future date.
