T2D Pediatric Working Group Friday, January 10, 2025 11:00am.

Discussion occurred about submitting standard deviations rather than BMI.

The group took turns sharing tips regarding data mapping of their patients while Ori provided an update regarding the importance of continuing to update Smartsheet.

The group shared best practices for delivering the best options for care, including in person touch points, providing curriculum to newly diagnosed people, and education tips, expanding coverage to other types of medications, involving pharmacy techs to handle prior auths in order to increase the number of patients able to be seen, screening for lipids, improving transition planning, using technology navigators, improving digital equity, and the importance of sharing information within this group.

Going forward, we will begin sharing slides of work being done to help the group stay focused and better organized.

Puja provided an update on their POCT lipid screening and will present at an upcoming meeting.

We will set up a spreadsheet to schedule presenters. Ori suggested having 2-3 centers present at each meeting with time set aside for questions and discussion.

Patients maintaining their appointments and keeping a weekly weight journal were also suggested.

Puja will present at the next meeting in February and T1D Exchange will create a spreadsheet of presenters for upcoming meetings.
