QI Champions Committee Meeting – October 14th, 2025

Welcome and Introductions:
Blake Adams kicked off the meeting and introduced an ice breaker that involved people sharing a piece of culture or media that they have enjoyed lately.
Center Sharing:
Timothy Bol and Claire Rainey from T1D Exchange provided a preview of the 9th Annual Learning Session taking place in Atlanta next month.
Jenny Pfieffer, Nemours Children’s Health Jacksonville, shared a presentation on her center’s QI Project involving the importance of transition programs for young adults with diabetes. The work they are doing has been demonstrable in improving transitions for young adults moving into adulthood. The ways in which they have been successful was discussed, including effective visits, therapy animals, and the infrastructure needed to support this work. The presentation was very informative and we hope everyone will have a chance to view it.
Tim closed the meeting by informing the group that our next meeting in April might be moved from the 2nd Tuesday so as to not interfere with the Combined Collaborative Call scheduled for that day. Meeting invites for next year’s meetings will be sent out shortly.
