    • Team operates within the practice and from the DRI
    • Working on reducing inequities in diabetes technology use
      • Using a barriers assessment survey
      • Major barriers aren’t related to costs
      • Smartpen interventions
    • IMPACT T1D pathway
      • Feedback from patients: they weren’t interested in participating and most no-showed. Learning: est. A collaboration with psychology in screeners/referrals
    • Mental health screening
      • Mental health screening of veterans with T1D. Screened population using PHQ8, T1-DDAS, WHO5
    • General conclusions
      • AID- better outcomes
      • Barriers are modifiable but hard to overcome

    • Achieving Diabetes Equity in Practice Today
      • T1D Exchange, in collaboration with the ADA, will be hosting a new diabetes equity focused conference titled, ADEPT. ADEPT 2024 will be held Tuesday and Wednesday, November 12-13 following the T1DX-QI Learning Session 2024 in Chicago, IL.

      • Aim 1: Accelerate AID data collection and conduct AID real world analysis.
      • Aim 2: Analysis to understand factors that influence diabetes providers recommendations of AID systems.
      • Aim 3: Reduce therapeutic inertia and enhance AID Prescription for newly diagnosed people with T1D.
