Agenda:

• Recap of modifications made to Data spec
• Update on Data Completeness scored cards
• Review new variables from recent PI proposals
• Telemedicine paper discussion – Led by Dr. Joyce Lee

 

3.0 Data Specification Updates:

• Education level
• Race/Ethnicity (mixed race option)
• Insulin pen use
• C-peptide and autoantibdoies testing
• SDOH: Transportation and Housing
• Family History of Diabetes

EMR Mapped ites

• 23 fully mapped sites
• 5 in validation (4 internal and 1 external)

Data Completeness Scorecards

• Q4 scorecards being sent this week
• Color coding changes
  • Green no action needed
  • Yellow needs confirmation
  • Grey site not collecting
  • Red collecting but not providing
• On average of mapped sites 90% a1c data available

 

New Variables from PI Proposal

• Develop framework on new data requests
• Cannibas Use
  • Value?
  • Rigourous assesment on sites that can share, docuementing the same or bias
  • Is there a QI lense for collecting this?
  • Craft- validated tool for substance abuse

 

• New Onset Diabetes Education
  • Are we docuementing that new onset education is happening?
  • Survey sites to see what practices are
    • Certain aspects recomdended by ADCES, ADA are happening
  • Create a bundle that is recommended

 

Telemedicine Paper

• Describe the EHR tools used in the T1DX-QI
• Capture HER workflows for documenting core data elements
• Describe variability in how sites ask respondents
• June submission
