Meeting Minutes: QI Collaborative Publications Committee Meeting, April 7^th, 2021

Attendees: Mark Clements, Sarah Lyons, Carla Demeterco, Shideh Majidi, Sarit Polsky, Emily Breidbart

T1D Exchange : Osagie, Emma, Nicole

Agenda :

• Update on Clinical Diabetes publications
• Status update on all publications in progress
• Overview of the subject interest areas for publications, identified by clinicians
• Working document of QI Writing Group: confirming institution names for citation purposes

Key Points :

• Clinical Diabetes updates
  • All manuscripts have been submitted and accepted for the clinical diabetes piece
• Please fill out clinical interests surveyfor potential publications
• Google document with preferred name to be included in citations will be sent out to clinics
• Smartsheet with author spread among clinics is being created and will be sent to the committee in order to have equitable author spread among the collaborative
• ISPAD abstracts will be due in June
• T1D Exchange data team will share data packages at the end of the month to the first authors who will be writing full manuscripts, based on the 2021 abstracts

Manuscript Phases:

1. Phase 1: New idea with first and senior authors identified
2. Phase 2: Manuscript shared for internal author group review
3. Phase 3: Publication committee review
4. Phase 4: Manuscript submitted for journal review
5. Phase 5: Manuscript accepted/revision requested/rejected
6. Phase 6: Manuscript Published
